Food Drive Donations 2011
TPI Staffing wants to thank both our internal employees and job seekers who participated in our 1st Annual Food Drive!! Our goal was to donate 100+ items to local Houston food banks and we did just that. Next up TPI Staffing is sponsoring a family for the Christmas Season to include clothes, toys and Christmas dinner. Donating to Houston Food Bank
‘Tis the season to give back! The team at TPI Staffing is hosting a Food Drive through 11/23 and will be collecting any donations at our Corporate Office: 21840 Northwest Freeway Suite E Cypress, TX 77429. We support the Houston Food Bank’s mission to end Houston hunger and encourage donations. 
The following is a list of food items most needed by the programs served by the Houston Food Bank.
• Peanut butter
• Canned fruits in light syrup, natural applesauce
• 100% juice cans or boxes
• Canned vegetables, tomatoes, tomato sauce
• Soups with meat and/or beans, meal-in-a-can, easy on salt and fat
• Cereals and cereal bars, easy on sugar and fat

Q: “Are positions available or is the agency actually recruiting at the moment?”
A: I can’t speak on behalf of all staffing companies, but in TPI Staffing’s case we have the time to recruit for only open positions. If a temporary or career opportunity is posted, consider it active. So you can better understand the TPI Staffing process (which I assume you can generalize to other hiring agencies) there are a couple scenarios that may need to be touched on. For example, postings that sound general (are really just a common job), too good to be true (we have many great client companies that offer competitive pricing, sign on bonuses, and other incentives), or postings that say “ASAP” (really needed someone yesterday)… are all appropriately worded postings whether they sound doctored or not.
As you know, the hiring process can take a while so whether the job is to start tomorrow or a month from now, we are recruiting for it. Keep in mind, all jobs posted at
www.tpistaffing.com are in a different stage in the recruiting process. Some job orders we may have just gotten in that day so it’s in the beginning stages, maybe we have already submitted resumes and are waiting on client feedback, or we have candidates interviewing but no hiring decision has yet been made. All jobs are visible to our job seekers until an official offer has been made. This is why the (one-time) online application is so important, it allows you to be notified via email as our NEW jobs become available so you can reply with your interest level.
